West Virginia is facing an unprecedented wave of proposed data centers and critical infrastructure developments, many that will fundamentally reshape our water systems, electrical grid, tax structures, rural landscapes, and legislative priorities. Much of this is happening quickly, with limited public visibility, fragmented information, and corporate narratives that prioritize speed over transparency. This ecosystem has shown citizens the importance of compiling accurate and proper documentation, as a way to make information accessible beyond a social media reel.
This resource exists as a way to direct individuals to primary sources like research, laws, official reports, FOIA requests, etc. Many individuals have expressed how there is lack of structured information, which is why it is important for us to make a resource that is accessible, digestible, and navigable for West Virginian's who are interested in learning about the proposed data centers. From the infrastructure itself, to legislation, community efforts, and how you can actually get involved.
